Pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), the partners of the Meetween Consortium (the “Joint Data Controllers”) jointly provide Users of the website https://www.meetween.eu/ (the “Website”) with the following information on the processing of personal data carried out through the Website. The Joint Data Controllers act collectively as data controllers for the personal data processed through the Website in the context of the Meetween project. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through the Website, for which purposes we process them, the legal bases we rely on, how long we retain them, with whom we may share them, and the rights that Users may exercise under the GDPR.

For inquiries or requests relating to the processing of personal data in the context of the Meetween project’s joint controllership, Users may contact the Coordinator (Translated Srl) at info@translated.com . Translated Srl, as the Coordinator of the Meetween Consortium, will facilitate the coordination of responses among the Joint Data Controllers and ensure prompt handling of data subject requests.

The Joint Data Controllers process personal data for the purposes set out below. The table also shows the legal basis which justifies the processing and the period of data retention:

In case the User prefers not to communicate mandatory and/or necessary data for the fulfillment of certain purposes, the Joint Data Controllers reserve the right to not provide the service through its Website.

Users may request further information on the applicable legal basis for each processing activity at any time.

Processing modalities

The processing of Personal Data will take place through automated and/or manual tools in order to ensure proper security measures to prevent access, disclosure, loss, incorrect, illegal or unauthorized use of data.

Recipients of personal data

Your Personal Data may be shared with the following external subjects:

  • internet service providers and platforms used by the Joint Data Controllers as organization tools, channels of communication and/or promotion;
  • consultants and other third-party service providers (a full list of the third party providers can be requested to the Coordinator) who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that job;
  • public authorities, bodies, or entities to whom such data must be communicated mandatorily by law or orders of the Authority.

These subjects act as autonomous data controllers or data processors. In the latter case, the Joint Data Controllers has signed a contract pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR (Data Protection Agreement or “DPA”). The list of data processors is available by sending a request to the Coordinator.

Personal data will also be processed by the Joint Data Controller’s internal staff specifically authorized pursuant to Article 29 of the GDPR.

Processing location and international data transfers

Personal data are processed at the premises of the Joint Data Controllers and at the premises or servers of service providers engaged by the Joint Data Controllers for the operation and management of the Website. Where personal data are transferred outside the European Economic Area, the Joint Data Controllers will ensure that such transfers take place in accordance with applicable data protection law, including, where necessary, by relying on an adequacy decision of the European Commission or on the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission. Users may request further information on such safeguards by contacting the Coordinator.

Data subject’s rights

The User may exercise all the rights provided for by Articles 15-21 of GDPR, at any time and without unjustified limitations, by contacting the Coordinator at info@translated.com . Requests may be submitted free of charge and processed by the Joint Data Controllers within 30 days. Specifically, the User can:

  • Obtain from the Joint Data Controllers confirmation as to whether or not personal data are being processed (Art.15);
  • Obtain from the Joint Data Controllers the rectification of inaccurate personal data (Art. 16);
  • Obtain from the Joint Data Controllers the erasure of personal data (Art. 17);
  • Obtain from the Joint Data Controllers restriction of processing (Art. 18);
  • Have the right to receive the personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to another controller (Art. 20);
  • Have the right to object (Art. 21);
  • With regard to the purposes of processing based on consent, withdraw it at any time.

Complaints

In any case, Users are always entitled to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in their country of residence, place of work, or place of alleged infringement under Art. 77 of the Regulation, if they believe that the Joint Data Controllers’ processing of their Personal Data is in violation of the applicable law.

Amendments

The Joint Data Controllers reserve the right to amend and update this Privacy Policy as a result of any further new or revised provisions of any national and EU laws and regulations on personal data protection.
